Mighty Zephyr Ranch is a husband and wife run ranch located in the Cimarron Mountains of Western Colorado. We are dedicated to raising healthy and delicious beef by regenerative practices that nurture nature.

We also grow high quality horse hay that we ensure with lab results for quality.

At MZR we raise Speckled Park and Corriente cattle that spend their lives grazing high quality grass in the mountains all summer and then are moved to grass fields for the winter in the Uncompaghre Valley. We finish our cows in 2 ways, pure grass fed and then on grass hay with a handful of corn each day for a roughly 45 days. Even individuals with severe auto-immune responses have had no reactions to this finish. We are also exploring the option to finish with flax seeds or beet pulp for a healthier finishing technique.

We strongly believe that animals should experience the things in life that make us all happy… warm sunshine, green grass and cool breezes.

Along with producing healthy animals, we believe that people should know the whole truth about what they are eating. We can verify where our animals come from, how they are raised and where they are processed.

We are passionate about education and strive to expand our knowledge from conferences, panels, books and personal connections. Learning new ways to improve our operation with the evolving practices of regeneration is of the upmost importance to us.
